  • Shout – Offers confidential, 24/7 text messaging service for anyone who is struggling to cope. As a digital service, Shout became vital during Covid-19, as one of the few mental health services able to operate as normal at this time.   • CALM – Their vision is that no one feels like suicide is their only option. But right now, too many people are struggling to see a way forward.   • The Listening Place – They provide free, regular, face-to-face support so that people can talk openly about their suicidal feelings. Their service is completely confidential and non-judgmental. Refugee and Asylum Seeker Support

Refugees and asylum seekers can access specialist support to help navigate housing, legal advice, education, and wellbeing services. Local and national organisations offer tailored guidance, advocacy, and integration support for both adults and young people.   • New Citizens Gateway – provide support for refugees and asylum seekers across London & beyond. The name reflects their core vision – to empower refugees to integrate into British life and culture as valued members of society.   • The Mulberry Centre for cancer support – Whether you are facing a diagnosis, supporting a loved one, or have been bereaved by cancer, they are here for you. What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy helps people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercises, manual therapy, education and advice (The Chartered Society of Physiotherapist). Some problems resolve quickly, others take more time to improve, and some problems have to be managed as they are a long-term problem.

Aim of physiotherapy

Physiotherapy aims to help patients manage their pain, improve their problem, prevent re-injury and promote health and wellbeing.

This can be achieved by:

  • Increasing your confidence to move
  • Improving movement in your joints
  • Strengthening your muscles
  • Providing advice on daily living
  • Improving pain by learning strategies to reduce and manage it
  • Providing education about healthy living and exercises
