Shown are Kingfisher Practice’s results from Friends and Family Test, which we sent to all patients. The NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT) was created to help understand whether patients are happy with the service provided, or where improvements are needed. In total, we received 193 responses. Please see the breakdown and some of our responses below:

Very Good – 161

Good – 24

Neither good nor poor – 5

Poor – 2

Very Poor – 1

  • Very good service – Dr Bella Shah is very good. Keep up the good service.
  • Reception staff are cooperative and gave me options when booking an appointment. Also Kingfisher surgery aid my seeing the same doctor at my request, and my regular doctor gave me all the time I needed to explain my 3 issues – I was not rushed.
  • Increase in telephonic appointment for advice or less emergency cases would be helpful.
    • Response: We have now added 2 extra telephone appointments to each GP partner per session – so this should aid in available appointments. In terms of less emergent appointment availability, we try to reduce our emergency appointments and increase routine, although we look weekly at the routine/urgent ratio of appointments to ensure sufficient availability.
  • Dr Rajapakse is a kind and caring doctor. I couldn’t wish for more.
  • Patient arrived way passed their appt time and was allowed to be seen causing more delay to our appt.
    • Response: We have 3 practices here, having more than 10GPs possibly in on a certain day, so it may seem that someone who arrived later than you is being seen first, but this is most likely not the case – most probably they are seeing a different GP/nurse. Unfortunately GPs also have more emergent cases to deal with, where paramedics may have been called, which unfortunately we are unable to account time for.
